Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician from Mexico was born to a music-loving family. Growing up, she listened to many classical music and traditional Boleros. Also, she listened to traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana loves tangos as well opera and dramatic performances. Ana began to learn how to play the piano and sing from an early age, along alongside her mother. She received more formal singing instruction at the age of 16 old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She furthered her training in music through the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was an active member of numerous opera ensembles as well as chamber groups. After moving from Mexico to America around 2000, she sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private events and also as part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. The love she has for singing, music and the arts keeps active in community projects in both her capacity as an artist and instructor. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for being able to share her passion and enthusiasm for traditional Latin American songs with others and, in the process hopes to impart a desire particularly among the younger generation in order to keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
