Angelica Panganiban, a Filipino American model and actress, who also works as a television hostess as well as a comedian. In the final results show, she performed the song Stronger alongside Kelly Clarkson and fellow contestant Kechi Okwuchi. The youngest-ever runner-up, Hale finished second in the competition. Angelica Hale fell ill at age four with strep throat and pneumonia due to an infection brought on by bacteria. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston had to place Angelica Hale in ECMO Life-Support after she desperately required life-saving medical treatments. She suffered from numerous organ problems, including failing kidneys. Peritoneal dialysis, and then hemolysis became her new normal. After an eighteen-day stay in the hospital, Angelica was almost dead but was on the road to recovery. After one year and a half of dialysis Angelica was ready for the most significant operation she had ever undergone- her kidney transplant. Her mother was the sole one who could donate the kidney. Angelica, along with her mom underwent successful kidney transplantation on September 13, 2013 at two amazing hospitals that were close to each other: Emory University Hospital & Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. Angelica Hale's ambition to be an international star has not waned.
