Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The global recognition of his music has helped him enter mainstream Latin music. His 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu was winner of the Colombian Kids Choice Award for the most popular Song in the year 2017. The singer released his first long-player ADN with the Sony-owned company based in Medellin, La Industria Inc. It reached the number 8 spot on the Top Latin Albums chart. In the following year, he joined forces with Ozuna to create Vaina Loca which climbed to the top of five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. Mala Influencia was his collaboration with Noriel in 2020. Following that year, Dopamina was his follow-up album. He also appeared in a duet with TINI for her viral stream single Maldita Foto. The 2023 album of 2000 with the massively popular La Bachata. Turizo is a musician born into a musical family. Both his parents also played the guitar. According to Turizo, music was a mandatory aspect of his daily life. He began playing guitar, saxophone the ukulele and piano when he was an infant. His initial choice of career was to become a vet however, his brother Julian persuaded him to learn singing with the help of a Cuban instructor. What happened was that he found his talent for singing and changed the course his life.
